Arsenal’s cards have a big week. Andrea Berta is intentionally attacking the transfer market, and supporters feel positive energy towards a new campaign.
The gunner has already announced three new signatures. Kepa Arrizabalaga has arrived to provide competition to join David Raya from Chelsea, but another Premier League talent, in the shape of Christian Norgaard, has arrived to replace Jorginho.
Previously, the headline addition was Martin Zubimendi. Gunner has been courting the Spaniard for a while, and finally got a man, taking him with him for a fee of £60 million, officially confirming his signature last week.
But there’s still a lot to do at Arsenal. Noni Maduke is scheduled to arrive Monday after experiencing the final part of his medical care.
It is also expected that Christian Mosquera from Valencia will be taking part, with Ebebekieze reportedly still on the club’s radar.
Still, all the biggest deals will cause a certain Viktor Gyoker to arrive in North London. It is a movement set to envy Premier League people.
Why Arsenal signs Viktor Gyoker?
Goals, goals, and other goals. You can wrap this segment right now, right?
For a long time, the missing pieces of Arsenal puzzles felt like a central thing. In 2024/25, no player reached twice the Premier League goal. It was the first time that it happened for a gunner in over 100 years, dating back to the 1923/24 campaign.
Of course, Arsenal had to deal with injuries such as Kai Herberts and Bukayo Saka, but their absence only further illuminated Mikel Arteta’s frontline problems.
As a result, it appears the club has two options this summer. Sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig or Gyoker from Sporting.
Well, after Sesko’s deal seemed too expensive, Berta and Co decided to push Gyoker’s signature even harder and pull the trigger that moved over the weekend.
According to David Ornstein, Reds is set to sign the Swedes who have finally agreed to a fee with the Portuguese club, seeing him move at a guaranteed price of £55 million and an additional £8.6 million.
It could represent a bargain, taking into account the numbers he has registered in recent years.
2024/25 was a huge 27-year-old campaign, scoring 54 goals in 52 games, but he’s no more than just a single season wonder.
Gyoker also scored 43 goals in the sports in his debut campaign, thriving in Coventry City, and scored 22 in his final year with the Sky Blues.
Arsenal needs goals and gyoker certainly does them. Still, it reportedly could generate as many fanfares as well.
An exciting announcement from Arsenal after Gyoker
While few will surpass the arrival of new centre-forwards, the renewal of Ethan Nuwaneli’s contract will certainly provide just as much excitement.
Certainly, the future of young people at Emirates Stadium has been in the air in recent weeks, with reports emergent last week that Chelsea are ready to sign a new contract for the teenager stall.
Now, recent reports suggest that Arsenal has overcome any impasses and that Nwaneri will be putting pens on paper for a new deal.
BBC’s Sami Mokbel revealed on Sunday that Arsenal has been set up to “create” a formal offer for a new contract.
Football Transfer further reported that “an official announcement confirming his commitment to Arsenal is expected soon.”
Why did Arsenal need to tie Ethan Nuwaneri?
It’s safe to say that Nuwaneri is a generational talent. Yes, we know that the term is thrown away more regularly than it should, but that’s the correct phrase due to this young Arsenal star.
Officially, he was the youngest player ever featured in a Premier League match when he made his debut at just 15 years old, and has since been a slow path to normal behavior.

That’s understandable given his age, but in 2024/25 he became an important part of this Arsenal team, scoring nine goals in all competitions on 37 outings and was justly nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year Award along with teammate Miles Lewis Skelly.
He is one of the best young talents in European football. Two players under the age of 18, Assenjiao and Raminyarmal (9 players from both) won more than four Nwaneri in the top five leagues of Europe, rubber stamping their early qualifications.
His record so far and indeed his performance attracted extensive admiration.
Former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Ebou believes he’s “possibly better than Yamal” in the future, but Joe Cole suggests that the penalty area and the way he dribbles around it is “like Messi.”
Few young players in the country have as much potential as this kid, as Scout Jace Krigg celebrated it further as “Hale End and one of England’s biggest gems.”
Gyoker will undoubtedly attract much of this week’s hype, but don’t underestimate its importance if Nwaneri’s contract is also announced.
With Chelsea circling for Arsenal’s best young talent, tie him down as soon as possible will be one of the best businesses the club will secure all summer long. It won’t take long for 18 to start in the week. Arsenal fans are excited.
