Arsenal may not have won the Premier League this season, but Mikel Arteta’s team still has it all to play in the Champions League.
Paris Saint-Germain left a thin one-goal advantage at Emirates Stadium mid-week, but the gunners have the quality and confidence to create something special at Parc de Princess.
Aside from some questionable justice, Arsenal knows the core of the issue this season is its failure to provide an elite-level striker to Arteta.
In the New Year, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Herberts injured the Londoners to ninth place, calling for an unconventional but mysterious effective halt for Mikel Merino.
But Arsenal needs a permanent solution. This may reduce the burden on the amulet that Bukayosaka wears around her neck.
Bukayo from the season
To be fair, Saka has developed a fairly well-established weight of responsibility, producing impactful and energetic performances while maintaining confident goals and support throughout the campaign.
However, this only brings attention to the ninth-placed Yoning Hall, and ensures the prolific centre forward to take the English International game to the next level.
Saka, 23, scored 11 goals and provided 14 assists for Arsenal this season. A three-month hamstring injury picked up in December has taken the biggest blow to his campaign on the side. Saka is back now, but he is still his least sharp.
Nevertheless, the Return of Winger will restore the deeper balance and flow that must be allowed to truly bloom in world class next season, and will ensure that the clinical attack partners are more likely than Habatsu or Jesus.
According to FBREF, Arsenal’s star boys are ranked in the top 2% of midfielders and wingers who have been attacking over the top 5 leagues in Europe in the past year for assists, top 1% of goal-making action and top 5% of crosses per 90.
The action of creating a goal is a game that leads to a goal. These include moments like passing, take-on, fouls and more.
This guy is a striker’s dream, and new sports director Andrea Berta is ready to reward him with one of the best center forwards out there.
Arsenal discusses to sign the top striker
We all know Alexander Isaac’s dreams. However, ISAK will likely cost more than £150 million to convince Newcastle United to sell.
Instead, Berta is pushing to seal the signature of Victor Gyoker of Sport Lisbon. According to Sky Germany’s Floriamplettenberg, the Liga Portuguese champion is looking for 700 million euros (approximately £60 million) to close the transaction.
I’m sure Arsenal can get the deal done, but Manchester United of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Reuben Amorim also needs to be enthusiastic and act quickly.
What Viktor Gyoker brings to Arsenal
Isak has been described as “the best striker in the Premier League” by Sky Sports’ Jamie Carragher this season, but he’s not just a fatal scorer in the market.
In fact, Gyoker has fully acquired the role of centre-forward and is able to play his part at the forefront of Arteta’s system.
The 6-foot two-star technical quality, physicality and hunger for success are hallmarks of his journey in Portugal, scoring 95 goals from 98 matches and winning the La Portugal title last season before winning the Division’s Player of the Year.
This level of guarantee for the final third is something Arsenal lacked throughout the campaign, and by setting Gyoker in the focus role, Saka ultimately has a reliable outlet that can direct his peers’ playmaking abilities.

Statistics through the Transfer Market |
Talk about year-over-year growth. The 26-year-old Gyokeres has yet to mark in one of the top five leagues recognized in Europe, but his numbers left little imagination in the best way, as his numbers only missed out on 43 big chances in the last three league tenures, especially with 88 times the points according to his sofa score.
Hubert has his strengths, but he is not clinical. In the Premier League this season, the Germans missed 15 big opportunities and changed nine strikes. Meanwhile, Jesus, 28, was not available frequently enough to guarantee Arteta’s trust as his first choice option.
While Saka is undoubtedly one of the best football players in the world, his game is hampered by the lack of a partner like Gyoker. With 20 big opportunities created in the Premier League this season, only Liverpool’s Mohamed Sarah has done more.
Although the injury from Saka was a chance to immortalize his name in the Premier League Playmaking Record Book, the electric start of the 2024/25 season of Three Lions Sensation welcomes the level of players in Arsenal’s hand.
Plus, it’s wield with the levers that Arteta arrests, by convincing Gyoker player Ayrke that the Emirates Project is the perfect place for him to go from strength to strength and reach the next level on his incredible journey.
Natural scorers will of course notice that the game is getting bolstered alongside Arsenal’s main man, but according to ESPN’s Mark Ogden, the Swedish star is “the hottest striker in Europe” and the partnership may be one that fixes the issue that plagued the season on the North London side.
In recent years, he’s been struggling and close, which will be a signature to complete the craft and ultimately establish Arsenal as a continental team.
It’s not finished yet. Arsenal may find themselves fighting for the Champions League trophy after facing PSG, but in any case, Gyoker will turn a great team into an unstoppable force.
