Arsenal is interested in signing that Aston Villa is attacking midfielder Morgan Rodgers during the summer transfer period.
According to a report in The Times, they are keen on the 22-year-old England International and it remains to be seen whether they have decided to make a move for him. They are trying to improve their attacking units and Rogers will be a great acquisition.
Arsenal needs more offensive quality
He showed quality in Aston Villa and the Premier League last season, earning 29 goal contributions in all competitions. At 22 years old, he has the best year than him, and he only improves through coaching and experience.
He could have grown into Arsenal’s future star if they could get the deal done. However, the report argues that the transfer is likely to be expensive.
The player has received high praise across the UK and he is being leaned towards becoming a star. Arsenal was doing well to groom the talented young players, and they were able to play an important role in his development as well. He was recently linked to Liverpool.
“He was a joy to see,” Stylian Petrov said in January. “We talked about him before the game. What he offers to the villa team, what he brings to the villa team. He saw everything from an outstanding, young man. He looked like a star.”
Morgan Rogers may be seduced
It will be interesting to see if Arsenal follows up on their interests with official offers signed to players. If Arsenal calls, he could be seduced. It’s a great opportunity for him and he can play alongside the top quality players from the North London Club.
They have been fighting for the league title and the UEFA Champions League this past season. They aim to further improve their team and win key trophies for next year. Rogers will certainly fantasize about a chance to win silverware with them.
