Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta made his priority to sign new attackers during the summer transfer period.
Gunner has lost the Premier League title again this season, just like he did in the last two seasons, and the big reason behind it is the club’s lack of a proper goal scorer.
None of the Arsenal players have scored in double digits in the Premier League this season.
To address the major issues his team is facing, he is ready to step into the market for a new number nine.
Arsenal Approach Ipswich Striker Delap
The North London Club reportedly approached the Liam Dellup representative with the aim of ensuring services as a support striker complementing a more established frontman, according to the football relocation.
The move comes after Arsenal sports director Andrea Berta convinced Arteta to reevaluate the club’s recruitment strategy.
Under Berta’s guidance, Arsenal has left Benjamin Sesco’s previous pursuit, with its release clause currently exceeding 80 million euros. Instead, the club is focusing on younger, cost-effective options from Viktor Gyoker and Delap.
The impressive display of Ipswich Town Forward in the Premier League caught Arsenal’s eye. If the Swedish striker switches to the Emirates, Berta considers him to be the ideal study of Gyoker.
Gunner wants Delap as the second striker
The gunner expressed his willingness to meet the 22-year-old’s personal demands, but made it clear that he needed to compete for his place.
Manchester United, looking for a new striker this summer, is also linked to the movement of the former Manchester City player.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca describes Ipswich town attacker Liam Dellup as a “fantastic player.”
