Arsenal has linked the movement of sports CP striker Viktor Gyokeres in recent weeks, and now appears to have begun a move to sign him.
According to Portuguese publication Correio Da Manha (H/T SportWitness), the Arsenal director met with the Lisbon player’s agent over the weekend and submitted an offer to the player of about 70 million euros.
Meanwhile, they provided players with a signature bonus of 12 million euros and a wage of 7 million euros per season. If a transfer occurs, Gyoker will sign a five-year contract with Arsenal.
The striker is also linked to Manchester United.
Upgrade to Gabriel Jesus
The 26-year-old has been an exception this season and has been able to prove he is a great addition to the Arsenal offense. He was a massive upgrade of Gabriel Jesus, and was able to change the gunners in the final third. Swedish International has 54 goals in his name this season, and he also has 13 assists.
It is still unclear whether Sports CP is ready to sell players for 70 million euros.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich also asked about the players. However, Arsenal leads the race for his signature. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to close the move anytime soon.
Arsenal requires viktor gyoker
The lack of quality strikers will cost Arsenal this season on league titles, and Swedish International could have a decisive impact next year.
Arsenal finished as runner-up in the Premier League this season and reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. They will try to win major trophies next season. It will be an attractive opportunity for the 26-year-old striker. He has proven himself in Portugal and he aims to test himself at a higher level than he has now.
