Arsenal targets attack reinforcements over the summer. One player who can be on the radar is Arda Guler, who has previously shown interest over the past six to 12 months.
Guler had been selected by many European clubs before choosing Real Madrid in the summer of 2023, but that decision had not been successful for him so far. Since moving to the Santiago Bernabeu, he has only made 43 appearances in all competitions.
Real Madrid, which relies on Arsenal’s goals to keep tabs, has raised doubts from many people in both Spain and Europe, revealing some clarity about the relationship that the Turkish playmaker has with head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Arsenal gave Arda Guler’s hope for a summer deal
As Relevo reported, Ancelotti and Guler were said to have not had a “particularly good relationship,” but the reason why the Real Madrid manager doesn’t play him goes beyond that. Ancelotti is not far from convincing his 20-year-old’s efforts in training. In particular, he was not satisfied with his defensive contributions.
This isn’t a good read for Guler, but it could be very good for Arsenal. Especially if Ancelotti remains as Real Madrid’s head coach for another season. It appears that the pair will likely cooperate in the future. This could give European champions a green light to allow an exit to occur, whether on loan or permanent trade.
Arsenal has a history of trading with Real Madrid, and its previous relationship can give them advantages if they decide to make a move for Guller during the summer transfer period.
