Former Arsenal player Julio Baptista has told Mikel Arteta to sign a Premier League star who can take him to the next level.
Gunner is set to finish second in the Premier League this season and is looking to lose the Premier League title race.
It’s their third and second place finish, and the gunners need something more with their team in terms of quality to get over the line as far as the league title is concerned.
The North London Club is chasing new strikers this summer to add firepower to their attacks.
Former Arsenal ace Baptista advised the club to make the move this summer, wolf attacker Maceus Cunya.
Baptista believes Cunha will play better players at Emirates Stadium, scoring more goals for Arteta’s team.
“People talk about Matthews Cunha, a Brazilian. He’s an incredible player Arsenal needs because he’s doing something incredible with wolves,” he told footitalia.com.
“I think Arsenal needs to see him. Cunha definitely should be on their nominee list. He has performed brilliantly this season with teams that are hard to live, so I think at Arsenal he will score more goals given the way they can create and dominate most games.
Arsenal is working on signing a striker
Signing the striker is a priority for Arsenal and Arteta this summer, and the arrival of new manager Andre Berta speeds up the process.
In addition to Cunha, the Gunners are linked to the moves of Benjamin Sesco, the star of RB Leipzig, the Premier League club’s long-term target.
Sports Lisbon attacker Viktor Gyoker is also taking part in the gunner’s radar, but the competition will be difficult to sign him.
Even if Arteta decides to strengthen his interest in Cunya, he will have to beat Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle United.
The 25-year-old wolf attacker has scored 16 goals this season in 31 appearances.
