All summer transfer windows are expected to open on June 1 for the new Club World Cup, with Arsenal expected to make the most of the situation and sign a new striker.
According to former Everton CEO Keith Wynes, Arsenal will try to beat the competition in the summer and sign a reliable goal scorer in the summer.
Wynes told Football Insider:
“It will help them get away from all competitions.
“Clubs like Arsenal, who have important positions to fill in will attack early.
“It’s a new twist and strategy is important. It’s an attractive new element.”
Arsenal has already brought in a new sports director to replace EDU Gaspar. His replacement, Andrea Berta, is expected to insert a team gap during the summer transfer period.
Arsenal needs quality strikers
Arsenal desperately needs quality strikers and has been linking them with players like Alexander Isaac for the past few weeks. Gabriel Jesus has not been able to score consistent goals, and Arsenal will need to replace him in the summer. It remains to be seen whether they can bring in top-class players to lead the line for them.
The lack of reliable goal scorers has cost them a lot this season. Quality strikers can help them get past the line and win major trophies.
Arsenal has a formidable team and they are seeking a league title in the last three seasons. Some intelligent additions in the summer could ultimately help them beat their rivals to the domestic crown.
It will be interesting to see how things develop over the next few weeks. Recent reports show that Arsenal is monitoring multiple attackers. Players like Isak and Viktor Gyoker could be the ideal addition for them.
