Arsenal contacted the potentially low-cost striker option, which scored north of 170 career goals. New sports director Andrea Berta has already registered serious intent before her first summer at the club.
Andrea Berta’s rumoured striker target Arsenal
One of Berta’s key items on the agenda is signing prolific new strikers.

The Spaniards personally sought him.
The need for a proven scorer was revealed before Kai Herberts and Gabriel Jesus were sidelined with long-term injuries, but their absence left undoubtedly, leaving it with Mikel Arteta even forced to use midfielder Mikel Merino as an emergency collapse striker over the past few weeks.
Arsenal’s Next Five Premier League Games | date |
---|---|
Ipswich Town (away) | April 20th |
Crystal Palace (house) | April 23rd |
Bournemouth (home) | May 3rd |
Liverpool (away) | May 11th |
Newcastle United (home) | May 18th |
The truth is, Spanish International is doing very well – he has scored four points in his last eight Premier League matches and has helped fill Real Madrid in Europe, but Merino is not a long-term solution.
Instead, Arsenal has serious interest in the sports of CP star Viktor Gyoker. He scored a very incredible 47 goals in the final 46 matches in all competitions, not to mention 11 additional assists.
These numbers, coupled with fierce competition for his services from Arsenal rivals, require the sport to demand a package of up to £60 million, with additional add-ons to let him leave (Fabrizio Romano).
Berta is said to be a fan of Gyoker, but Newcastle star Alexander Isaac is reportedly signed to Arsenal’s “dream.”
RB Leipzig starlet Benjamin Sesco is another striker on Arsenal’s target list despite a failed bid to sign the Slovenians in 2024, and has internally debated the possibility of hitting the deal in January.
All of these names are offered at premium, especially when taking into account the overall costs, such as wages, fee fees, and signature bonuses.
With this in mind, journalist Graeme Bailey reports for the bootroom that Arsenal is throwing their hats at the races of uncontracted star Jonathan David.
It’s very surprising that the elite side has yet to come to mind with David, considering how incredible he has been for Reel over the past few seasons, but it’s only a matter of time before he seals off his big move.
Canada International is scheduled to leave for Bossman this summer, and Arsenal held its first consultation with David’s representative in pursuit of a striker.
The 25-year-old, who has achieved a total of 176 career goals in club and country, is also a big game player. David has been on seven strikes since 10 Champions League outings this season, scoring with Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, so the concept of only being able to score in the inferior division is placed in the bed.
Despite being a free agent, he was able to bring Arsenal back to around £28 million with annual demands, signature fees and additional fees (Sacha Tavolieri), which is still much cheaper than the targets of other strikers at Berta.
