This summer has been becoming one of Arsenal’s best for a very long time.
It may sound hyperbolic, but this is not the case, as the club has already officially announced four signatures, including Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke, following a slow start to the transfer period.
Plus, along with the renewed deals for Gabriel Magalges, Miles Lewis Skelly and Ethan Nuwaneri, along with the fact that Christian Mosquera is reportedly already on Singapore, it’s easy to be very excited by some fans.
Furthermore, although he has not yet been announced, it appears that the club has finally agreed to a contract to sign Viktor Gyoker, and based on the report, they are also enthusiastic about who will become the winger of his dreams.
Arsenal target dreamwinger gyoker
The most important transfer saga that Arsenal will be involved this summer was undoubtedly about Gyoker.
At first, it seemed Benjamin Sesco was the club’s first choice choice to lead the line next season, but when RB Leipzig acquired him from the move, the North Londoners turned their attention to Swedish International.
Finally, after what felt like a weeks of deadlock between Sports CP and gunners over contract add-ons, Fabrizio Romano forwarded the “go here” treatment yesterday afternoon.
This is a potential game-changing addition to teams that require clinical number nine last season, and even better, the club is currently linked to potential striker-like wingers.
A recent report from Athletics shows Arsenal is interested in Anthony Gordon.
The report claims that the Newcastle United star is currently “admired” as runner-up in the Premier League, but that the future of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Torosad can determine whether the admiration will develop.
In terms of how much the British will cost, reports from this summer claim that a fee of around £100 million could be sufficient, and while it’s a lot of money, it may prove to be worth signing someone who could become Gyokeres’ dreamwingers.
Why Gordon becomes Gyoker’s dream teammate
So, to first determine which winger will become Gyoker’s dream teammate, you’ll need to take a little time to see how the striker plays the game.
Although Arteta and Co can develop further ways of playing the Swedes, from his heat map last season it becomes clear from both heat maps that he spends most of his time in and around the penalty area.
Furthermore, looking at his shot maps at all competitions last season makes it even more clear that he is a traditional number nine.
So, to make the most of him and maximize his strengths, the gunner needs an effective winger to put the ball into dangerous areas, and based on some of his underlying numbers, Gordon fits the bill.
FBREF, for example, put him in the top 7% of midfielders and wingers during the offensive in the Premier League last season, making him the top 15% of crosses to the penalty area and passes to the penalty area.
Additionally, FBREF ranked him in the top 1% that the penalty kick won, and the top 3% of goal-making action from the previous season, suggesting that the British would create a teammate chance by getting a foul or inventive play.
Finally, as he explained, it’s not just looking at the underlying metrics to see the “nightmare” of Liverpool-born, but he also claims his output, which could be a real game changer for gunners and gyoker.
For example, since the start of the 23/24 campaign, he has scored 21 goals and provided 23 assists in 90 appearances, totaling 6,815 minutes.
In other words, that means that the 24-year-old ace averages target involvement every 2.04 games or every 154.88 minutes.

Ultimately, Gyoker looks like he’s going to be an incredible addition to this Arsenal team, but if Arteta and Co want to get more from him, they’ll also help bring Gordon in.
