Mikel Arteta believes he has helped Arsenal transform since his arrival at the club, but admits that he “needs to win a major title.”
The Gunners finished second in the Premier League in their third consecutive campaign last season, reaching their first Champions League semi-finals since 2008.
Arteta has strengthened the team over the 2025-26 season, adding Viktor Gyoker, Martin Zubimendi and Noni Maduke to the team.
The Spaniard won the FA Cup in his first season in charge in 2020, but has been short since in competitions.
He argued that Arsenal must win a major title to showcase their progress over the past few seasons.
“I give my passion, my energy, my knowledge and everything I have to give to this club,” Arteta told ESPN Brasil.

“I think we have changed this club from where we are today to where we are today.
“In terms of performance, looking at the last three years of the Premier League, we are the team that scored the most points, but we still need to win major titles.
“The connection with the fans has changed. There’s no doubt that Arsenal is one of the best teams in Europe at the moment, but we still need to seal that outcome.
“It’s going to be an exciting season. It’s from a typical league, looking at the level of every team.”
