Arsenal today is a completely different team from the one team that Mikel Arteta ruled over five years ago.
The manager helped transform the winding, seemingly lost club into one that appears to be destined to acquire something important in the coming years.
However, it was not a linear journey for the Spaniards, as only a year after his tenure, his position was beginning to appear unrequited seriously.
Thankfully, the appearance of Emile Smith Lowe and his early partnership with Bukayo Saka stabilized the ship and actually saved the Spanish work, so it’s good news that Hale End provided him with another version of the British.
Emile Smith Lowe’s career
So, Smith Lowe made his Arsenal senior debut in an Europa League group match in the 18/19 season, but it makes sense to start with the 20/21 campaign.
He began the game, alongside Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, injected the dynamism the club lacked in the previous 14 league matches where Arteta oversaw four wins.
The Croydon-born Gem finished the season with a great measure of four goals and seven assists in 33 games, and posted his form in his next campaign, where he scored 11 goals and provided two assists in just 37 appearances.
By the start of the 22/23 season, Hale Ender felt ready to truly explode, but in a stroke of horrifying luck he was blinded to the problem of injuries.
Unfortunately, the club had won a surprise title charge while he sat on the sidelines. Martin Odegard has made his life season as the team’s most offensive midfielder, earning an incredible distance of 15 goals and seven assists in 45 games.
Thus, the young British missed some games with injuries the following year, but the main reason he was limited to just 475 minutes is the simple fact that he no longer had a place in the starting lineup, and could have chosen to accept up to £34 million for his services from Fulham in the summer.
Since moving to West London, the former fan favorite still suffers from minor injuries, but it generally looked good when he scored five goals on the pitch and provided two assists in 31 appearances.
Overall, Arsenal would have used Smith Lowe more this season in light of offensive struggles and injuries, but selling him to the cottage was probably the best thing for those involved, especially as Hale End might already be offering the perfect replacement for Arteta.
Arteta’s new Smithrow
For all those who are wrong this season, it’s no surprise that one of the most important positives is the emergence of Miles Lewis Skelly and Ethan Nu Waneri, and the latter is Arteta’s new Smithrow.
Currently, this comparison works for several reasons, including the fact that it attacks midfielders who can thrive on their wings.
However, the most important similarity is how it affected the first team at the time needed.
As mentioned earlier, the Fulham star today has given himself to the wider world of football by having a great partnership with Saka and turning the ship around when changes appear to be made in the dugout.
For example, “unplayable” Nuwaneri, known as Jack Wilshire, had made a cameo appearance, and started a strange cup earlier this season, but the offensive injury crisis has come to full swing and the 12 starts from January 1st dramatically increased his involvement with the first team.

Additionally, when he played, “sensational” Hale Ender, dubbed by analyst Ben Matinson, often contributed by his eight goals and one assist coming in the 1087th minute.
Finally, while Smith Lowe breaks through and partners with Saka, the Enfield-born Dynamo does the same thing as Lewis Skelly, who played a major role in his goals for Bolton Wanderers and PSV Eindhoven.
Ultimately, fans hope that Arsenal’s career will advance in a different way, but as things stand, there are many similarities between Smith Rowe and Nuwaneri.
