And as such, Arsenal’s Premier League dream officially concludes its third year with the bounce.
Mikel Arteta’s side had to watch Liverpool claim the title yesterday afternoon after sending Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at home yesterday afternoon.
There have certainly been some expansion situations this year, but it’s fair to say the Reds still deserve a winner.
With this in mind, it’s not a secret that Arsenal fans are eager to see the club sign a new striker in the summer, so it’s pretty sad that Arteta has approved the sale of someone who currently outweighs two of his heaviest targets: Benjamin Sesco and Alexander Isaac.
Why Arsenal wants size and Sesco
Before reaching the player in question, it is worth considering why Arsenal wants to sign Isaac and Sesco this summer.
Starting with the former, the most obvious answer is that since moving to Newcastle United he has become a lean average scoring machine.
For example, this season alone, he has achieved a great measure of 26 goals and six assists in 39 appearances.
But equally important is that he performs at this level in the Premier League. This means you’ll need little or no time to adapt to Emirates.
In contrast, Sesko has no experience, but in addition to his 26 goal involvement, he also has two other advantages.
The first is just 21 years old and by the time he reaches Isaac’s age, there are every chance he can continue to develop into a seriously impressive player, while the second is 6 feet 5, helping him make the gunner even more intimidating.
However, both strikers will be great additions to the club, but it must be frustrating to learn that Arteta has overseen the sale of both outscoped players.
The former Arsenal ace overtook Isaac and Sesco
Last summer, Arteta made some impressive sales, such as the £30 million move to Crystal Palace and the £34 million move to Fulham by Emile Smithrow, but he made what backfired afterwards.
Where are they now?
Your star player or biggest flop has left the club, what are they doing today? This article is part of Football Fancast’s Where Are Are They Series.
In July, the Gunners agreed to sell young striker Mika Vierrez in an Austrian outfit for around £4 million.
Danish poachers spent the second half of their previous campaign lending out with clubs. There, he got a reasonably impressive tally of nine goals and four assists in 22 appearances, so it’s fair to say that the prices still look low at the time.
Unfortunately for Gunners, that proves to be true, just like in the first half of this season. He scored 14 goals and provided five assists in 25 appearances.
This incredible start to the campaign was enough to convince him to spend around £10.8 million during the January transfer period as Monaco.
Since moving to the French Riviera, the “outrageous” talent known as U23 Scout Antonio Mango has scored 13 goals, 17 goals for the new club and provided three assists.
That is, the young striker who Arteta sold for what he now looks like a dollar penny, managed to tally 27 goals and eight assists in just 42 appearances.

In other words, Vierrez is currently defeating Isaac and Sesco, further confusing Arsenal’s decision to sell him in the summer.
