Chelsea reportedly got a boost as they are so clear that RB Leipzig wants to leave the current club as they are attacking midfielder Zabi Simons.
As journalist Fabrizio Romano highlighted in X, Simons appears to have removed Leipzig’s mention of bio on Instagram.
The Netherlands International is an exciting talent who finished last season with 14 goals and 11 assists in all club and country competitions, and now looks to be on his way to Stamford Bridge.
Romano claims that Simons’ social media activities are not a coincidence as they want to join Chelsea, so even if the deal is not yet underway, they will discuss it at the advanced stage…
Romano said: “Xavi Simons will remove RB Leipzig from Instagram Bio. It is considered a forwarding message. I want Chelsea’s move. The negotiations are ongoing.
It’s certainly only a matter of time from Zabi Simons to Chelsea.
Simons isn’t exactly subtle here. He clearly wants to leave Leipzig.
The CFC has recently invested heavily in top young players like Simons, representing another big coup for the Blues.
We’ve seen Jamie Gittens join this summer to offer Chelsea a midfield option during another attack, but there may be room for Simons after Noni Madueke and Joa Felix’s departure.
Chelsea could continue spending
Chelsea may not be done, even if they bring Simons along. The telegraph is strongly linked to the movements of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho.
Jadon Sancho was loaned to Chelsea by Man UTD last season, but Enzo Maresca and Co. I decided not to protect him.
That could mean there was yet another gap to fill the attack, and we could see Chelsea raid United again.
