Arsenal is ready to let Jakub Kiwior leave the club at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old struggled with regular game time at Arsenal, and he had previously linked to the exit.
The defender was on the radar of multiple clubs during the January transfer period, but Arsenal chose to keep him at the time. It appears they have decided to move on with him now.
Ask Price Set
According to a report by Tuttoatalanta, they have set a asking price of 35 million euros for the Polish defender, with Atalanta and Napoli eager to secure his signature.
The defender must play regularly at this stage of his career, and returning to Italy might be ideal for him. He’s not a regular Arsenal starter next season and doesn’t make sense to sit on the bench at the North London Club.
Jakub Kiwior needs to go ahead
He’s definitely a quality player. He demonstrated his abilities at Arsenal in cameo this season. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta welcomed him as a “exceptional” player when he stepped up during Gabriel Magalges’ injury.
The player has a bright future ahead of him, and Italian regular football can bring out the best of him. Atalanta and Naples can use defensive reinforcements, and Polish International certainly helps to improve.
It is still unknown if they are ready to pay him the asking price. EUR 35 million could prove to be an expensive acquisition for both clubs. It will be interesting to see if Arsenal will try to lower their demands in the coming weeks to promote the transfer.
