Chelsea are working to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens during the summer transfer.
The 20-year-old is highly regarded throughout Europe, and Bruce is in positive negotiations to close the deal. According to Florian Plettenberg, the player will cost €65 million this summer, and the German club believes that some clubs are eager to secure his signature.
Can Chelsea make a deal?
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will be able to get a deal on the entire line. They need more quality and depth with attacking units, and the Gitens adds targets, creativity, and unpredictability to their attacks.
The opportunity to join one of the world’s largest clubs is also extremely exciting for players. Regular football at Chelsea managed to bring out the best of him and help him realize his world-class potential. He is currently considered one of the best young players in European football.
Jamie Gittense will become a future asset
Currently, the 65 million euro ask price may seem very expensive, but players may justify future investments. He was able to establish himself as a key player for Chelsea.
It will be interesting to see if other clubs have decided to come to accept offers to attackers. Chelsea should consider moving quickly to close the transaction. They have secured qualifying for the Champions League for the next season, so they have to improve their teams. They need better players to do well in the European competition.
Next year, we will also need more depth to get better at multiple competitions.
The 20-year-old British scored 12 goals last season. He also picked up five assists. His numbers could improve when playing on a good team with quality players.
