Villans continue to regain form with win against Man CityVilla continue their good form with 4 consecutive league wins

Aston Villa slammed Erling Haaland on social media after Sunday’s 1-0 win against Manchester City.

Villans continue to regain form with win against Man City

Villa’s five-game winning streak came to an abrupt halt with a 2-1 defeat away to Go Ahead Eagles in the Europa League on Thursday night, but they got back on track with victory over Man City on Sunday afternoon.

Matty Cash scored the only goal of the game in the first half, firing from just outside the full-back to lift the Villans to eighth place in the Premier League and turn things around after a slow start to the season.

Heading into the match, manager Unai Emery was no doubt worried about Haaland, who is regarded as one of the world’s best strikers given his impressive form for club and country.

However, Emery’s side were able to neutralize the Norwegian’s threat and won 1-0 without conceding a goal, ending City’s nine-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

Aston Villa, the team that ended Haaland’s remarkable run of form, took a swipe at the X’s centre-forward after the game, saying: “Well done, Matty Cash had raw milk and tomahawk steak for breakfast this morning.”

The jibe refers to the first video the 25-year-old posted on his YouTube channel, in which he takes us through a day in the life of a professional footballer and reveals his typical eating habits.

Villa continue their good form with 4 consecutive league wins

Aston Villa struggled at the start of the season, losing 3-0 at home to Crystal Palace and 1-0 to Brentford, but they are starting to show that they have the potential to remain in the European qualification ranks once again.

City’s current side may not be at Centurion’s level, but they have been on a roll, winning their last three league games, but the Villains put an end to that run with a solid performance.

Apart from scoring the winning goal, Cash’s all-round performance was strong, making four clearances, two tackles and one interception as he helped his team win four Premier League games.

Emery will be hoping his side can maintain their current form in the coming weeks, but there are some difficult games on the horizon and despite recent struggles, Anfield is always a difficult place to get to.
