According to markAtletico Madrid is interested in the prospect of bringing Thomas Parti again from Arsenal this summer.
Ghana International joined Atletico’s gunner in 2020, and since then he has made a total of 160 appearances for the North London Club in all competitions, scoring nine goals and contributing seven assists. Playing primarily as a defensive midfielder, Part was forced to intervene and cover injured players elsewhere on the backline, despite having injuries himself.
His versatility is clearly a great asset to manager Mikel Arteta, but the 31-year-old can’t see himself as a regular Emirates starter. And with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, it remains to be seen whether he is interested in continuing his part-time role at Arsenal or prefers to return to Wanda Metropolitano to play again under Diego Simeone.
