    • Saturday’s Premier League double

With the 2025/26 Premier League campaign underway this weekend, there will be equipment for the first Saturday of the season.

With a five-top flight showdown from across the country, Saturday’s action will take place as Aston Villa welcomes Newcastle to Midland for a showdown between the two Champions League Dreamers.

For those who want to stick with Saturday’s flutter, we’ve looked at some of the most engaging Premier League betting tips available.

12:30 Aston Villa vs Newcastle

Aston Villa may have suffered a lot of frustration in May as they missed tickets to the Champions League thanks to differences in goals, but UNAI Emery’s side is aiming to go one more stage this time. The former Arsenal boss, who rounded out his summer preparations with a 2-0 victory over Spanish costume Villarreal, is excited to return to Midlands at lunch on Saturday. In fact, with an incredible run, Villa won all of the last eight consecutive matchups in front of supporters last season. Similarly, with a purple patch highlighted by the iconic 3-2 victory over European champion PSG, Emery’s side has not suffered a single domestic defeat at Villa Park in the past 12 months.

Newcastle may have made real history last season as they were eventually dragged into another Champions League spot, but the magpies endured the public crisis throughout the summer. Eddie Howe’s camp is under some surveillance as the impressive charm Alexander Isaac reveals he wants to move away from St. James’ Park this month. Last weekend, he signed off summer preparations after a 2-0 loss at home against Spanish heavyweight Atletico Madrid, and Saturday’s guest failed to win any of his six pre-season appearances. Similarly, Howe’s side, who collected only one point from one of his final three Premier League appearances that left St. James Park last season, should be worried about his recent trip to the Midlands. On a trip to Villa Park on April 19th, he was hit on the 4-1 drums.

15:00 Brighton vs Fulham

Brighton may have ultimately been short for booking European returns last season, but the Seagulls received plenty of praise during their maiden campaign under the leadership of Fabian Hartzler. The hosts on Saturday won all three final three Premier League showdowns with a sensational 4-1 romp at Europa League champions Tottenham. That will in a purple patch for May highlighted by a stunning 3-2 victory over Liverpool, the former St. Pauli boss will appeal to his team to take over from where he left off before the summer interval. Brighton, who has gained a reputation for his free-flowing approach, is confident in making a weekend opening statement here. Hurtzler’s side also lost only one Premier League loss at Amex from the end of January.

Fulham may have opened 2025 in the middle of their respective European scraps, but Marco Silva’s men have significantly stopped the finish line. It has been suggested that the former Everton boss is irritated in West London after signing off in a 2-0 home defeat against Manchester City last season. Saturday’s guests lost seven of their last 10 appearances in all competitions, including a 3-0 FA Cup drum against Crystal Palace on March 29th. So far this year’s calendar year, collecting back-to-back Premier League victories has gained a reputation for extended issues away from Craven Cottage. In fact, Silva’s team lost five of their final six showdowns outside West London against top flight opponents. They hit a 2-1 defeat on March 8th when they last travelled to Brighton, but we look forward to a similar result this weekend.
