This season, the Austin Raves are on fire for the Los Angeles Lakers. The team’s Topsitterby campaign made Reaves a sparkling star.
JJ Redick feels that Reaves should be the most improved player candidate this season. Meanwhile, LeBron James feels that Austin Reeves has unlocked a new level this year.
The Reaves average 20.2 points, 5.8 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game this season, giving them a decent third option count. Patrick Beverly demanded that Chandler Parsons apologize again for underestimating him.
While the Lakers made an overwhelming performance against the Pelican, Reeves made history with his heroes.

The Austin Raves had an amazing night, dropping 30 points, including six three pointers. With his shooting beyond the arc, Reaves set up a new Lakers record.
He surpassed Nick Van Excel for the most three-pointers the Lakers player has made during the season. He is now sitting second with 188 3-pointers made.
The only player before him is D’Angelo Russell, who shot a 3-pointer for 226 last season. Russell’s record is safe from Reaves for now.
But this focuses on how good he has a season. The Reaves are truly the Lakers’ third option and the star of the team.

Austin Reeves has now had four seasons with the Lakers. This is his breakout year and it feels like he’s established himself as a star-level player in the league.
LeBron James and Luka Donsic are Lakers superstars. However, it can be argued that Austin Reeves is their most important player.
With his numbers, he’s the X-factor because he gives the Lakers a very few third option. And on nights where Luka and LeBron are struggling, he can step up and put a load on.
The Reaves have shown he can step up into the playoffs and have played very well at the 2023 Western Conference Finals Run. But he has to get even better.
