Which F1 drivers received the highest rating after Baku’s 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen -9.5
Max Verstappen continues to show why it is the best driver in F1. He took the pole and kept his cool in the qualifying round to convert it into a dominant race victory.
George Russell-9
George Russell fought illness and finished second in Azerbaijan. It’s an impressive race drive, but it’s marked down by the fact that he’s qualified for the first time this season as a teammate.
Carlos Sainz-10
Weekend star. Carlos Sainz was on the interim pole heading into the final minutes of the third quarter. Sainz wasn’t out of place. Williams showed an impressive race pace to score the team’s first podium since the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix.

Top 3 Azerbaijan
Some Antonelli-8
A notable progress for you Antoneri. A smooth qualifying session with teammate Russell secured fourth on the grid. He followed it with a tidy race. Still, he would have been disappointed that he didn’t finish on the podium considering the grid’s position.
Liam Lawson-9.5
Like Sainz, Liam Lawson starred in the qualifying round in an epic rap, securing third on the grid. Unlike Sainz, Lawson didn’t have a pace to stick to the podium. But he was perfect, with many faster cars behind him.
Yuki Tsunoda – 7
The best race for the Red Bull driver to date. His hard stint was even more impressive, pulling him away from two Ferraris in merit. Tsunoda will be somewhat disappointed to lose to Lawson after leaving the pit lane.
Lando Norris -6.5
Lando Norris weekends are generally poor. His final lap in the third quarter was gross, even if he had the worst track conditions. Norris was unstable after the safety car reboot and lost his position for Charles Leclair. He doesn’t think so – but it was an opportunity to miss considering what happened to Oscar Piastri.

Lewis Hamilton-7
At this point, things aren’t exactly together for Lewis Hamilton. He was knocked out from the second quarter after Ferrari refused to request fresh tires. Hamilton deserved to beat his teammates in the race, even if he tried to get back to the spot on the final lap.
Charles Leclerc-6.5
A nasty weekend in Leclerc. Unlike in recent years, the Leclerc did not look comfortable around the streets of Baku. His qualifying crash ultimately ruined his race.
Isack Hadjar -6.5
Given what his teammates have achieved, Isack Hadjar will be extremely disappointed with his Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend. He made the same mistakes in the qualifying rounds he made in the race, tracking his positions for Leclair and Norris.
Gabriel Boltreto-8
The most underrated performance of the weekend is sent to Gabriel Boltreto. He qualified for his teammate Nico Halkenberg for the 10th time in 12 races. He missed a point finish and ended up securing 11th place.
Oliver Bareman-7.5
Like Boltreto, the Bearman enjoyed a very low radar weekend. The gap with the top 10 is very important, suggesting that Haas didn’t have the pace to compete for a point finish.

Alex Albon-3
A very poor weekend for the whole of Alex Albon. He crashed in qualifying, spinning Franco Colapinto, resulting in a 10-second penalty. Something to forget.
Esteban Ocon-6
Esteban Ocon looked a step ahead through his teammate Bearman. He was sent behind the grid after an irregularity in the rear wing in qualifying, but that really didn’t ruin his chances for points.
Fernando Alonso-6.5
Fernando Alonso’s pursuit of points was ruined by a jump start on the race’s opening lap. But like Haas and Sauber, Aston Martin fell behind midfield rivals Williams and the Racing Bulls.
Nico Halkenberg-5
It appears Halkenberg has taken the season since winning his Maiden F1 podium at the British Grand Prix. Another weekend to forget, as he was again outclassed by his teammate Boltreto.
Reims Walk – 5.5
Lancestrol stuck most of his race behind the alpine mountains in Colapinto. Anyway, there were no points on the Canadian cards.

Pierre Gasly -5.5
Another inactive weekend from Pierre Guthrie. He seemed a little less competitive than his teammate Corapinto.
Franco Frapentent -6
Colapinto did well to qualify for his teammate Gasly in his second race run. However, his unnecessary crash at the end of the first quarter would have bothered Alpine Advisor Flavio Briartoll. His race was compromised by an incident with the Archon.
Oscar Piastry-2
Everything went well for Piastri at the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. He crashed in qualifying, jumped the start and missed the race on lap 1. Piastri was lucky enough to escape. Norris was able to reduce his championship lead by six points.
