Bam Adebayo has finally made a statement about the latest addition to the Miami Heat roster. His comments show that he is happy.
The franchise reached the playoffs after winning the play-in tournament, but when they suffered a historic defeat, they weren’t in competition with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round.
The team traded Jimmy Butler so they weren’t at their best and some major changes were expected in the offseason.
There were rumours that the Miami Heat are one of the teams interested in Kevin Durant’s sweepstakes, but the two-time champions decided to take his talent to the Houston Rockets instead.
This led Pat Riley to make another move to strengthen his roster by introducing the NBA champions.
Bam Adebayo has no best individual seasons, and was reflected in the shape of the heat.
It was clear that they needed some more acquisitions to strengthen their team. So they moved in for Norman Powell.
Powell had the best year of his career last season, averaging 21.8 points for the LA Clippers.

He took the game to the next level and took charge when James Harden and Kawi Leonard were not on the team. Powell reveals that the Clippers had told him they wanted to keep him before handing him over.
Take him to the fever and they give him a scoring presence that has been missing for a while.
Adebayo was pleased with the addition and discussed in a recent interview about what Powell brings to the team.
He said: “I feel that Norman is one of those floating under the radar, but as we saw this year, he really shows that he can become an All-Star caliber player.
“You saw what he did and saw him grow in this league, and obviously he wants to take on the next challenge. Clearly, the next challenge is in the Miami Heat.
The Heat had three major incoming calls during the offseason. This includes Kasparas Jakucionis, the 20th overall pick who was part of the summer league roster.
They lost players like Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson, Duncan Robinson and Alec Burks, but Adebayo is happy with the roster.
“It’s a very good shaking for our team,” Adebayo added.
The team also decided to hold Davion Mitchell on a two-year, $24 million contract. His defensive glow impressed Adebayo. Adebayo is excited about the prospect of playing alongside next season.
He said:
“I look forward to having him come and become that guy and understand his role and I look forward to him being here for a year.
“We’ve cut a bit off trying to figure out everyone’s roles and try to figure out everyone’s playing style. But now we have a good training camp and we’re going from there.”
