The five-match T20I series of Bangladeshi cricket teams scheduled to begin on May 25th is seriously suspected. Following India’s recent air strike “Operation Sindore”, Pakistan reportedly is preparing for possible retaliation for raising security concerns in the region.

The president of BCB Faruque Ahmed told Cricbuzz they were closely monitoring the situation and would wait before making a final decision on the tour. He added that the board may reconsider participating in the series, depending on how things unfold in the coming days.

“We’re actually working on the current situation (as long as we go to Pakistan for the T20I series), and we can wait another 3-4 days,” Faruque said. “Let’s see how that progresses, but for now it’s about two players currently in Pakistan (Nahydrana and Richad Hossain) playing in the PSL (Nahydrana and Richad Hossain).”

ECB follows Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ guidance on participation in English players in IPL and PSL

Saj Sadiq, a sports journalist from Pakistan, shares that the Cricket Board (ECB) of England and Wales relies on advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and consults with the security team, IPL and PSL.

However, he stressed that the final decision on whether a player will stay in India or Pakistan for the tournament is the player’s own responsibility.

“Regarding English players in IPL and PSL, the ECB follows the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ guidance and speaks to the security team. But ultimately, whether they will stay in India and Pakistan for the tournament #cricket is a player’s decision,” Saj Sadiq wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).
