According to Sports, Barcelona is interested in signing Marcus Rashford on its first loan, but there is the option to make the deal permanent in the near future.
Rashford has energized his career since joining Aston Villa on loan from Manchester United in January, scoring four goals and earning seven assists in 17 matches in all competitions for UNAI Emery’s team. He played a key role for Villa as he aims to play Champions League football again next season.
Manchester United remained on the contract for three years, giving the 27-year-old forward a £40 million price tag, and his versatility has allowed him to play anywhere, crossing the offensive line.
However, Barcelona and United will have the option of purchasing their own loan agreements at the villa, so they will have to wait for a decision from Aston Villa before they can begin negotiations. If they decide not to trigger it, he won’t play for the Birmingham club, which is not entitled to face United in the final game of the season.
