Chelsea are reported to be interested in bringing Diego Moreira back to the club after his impressive spell with Bluecos Strasbourg.
The 21-year-old has shown immense potential with his performances in Ligue 1 this season, with one goal and two assists so far.
One of those goals and assists came against Paris Saint-Germain, where Moreira caused a lot of problems for the reigning European champions with his intelligent play.
According to TBR Football, Chelsea may have the option to trigger a low-price buyout clause for Moreira.
According to reports, the west London giants initially sold the young Belgian, who can play at left-back or midfield, for just £1.7m, but the buy-out clause is not thought to be much higher than that.
Chelsea to use Strasbourg links to re-sign Diego Moreira?
Chelsea will continue to keep an eye on Strasbourg’s talented young players due to their links with the French side.
According to BBC Sport, CFC have signed talented young forward Emmanuel Emega from Strasbourg, with the 22-year-old expected to join in 2026.
Other top talents such as Moreira and Julio Enciso are sure to capture Chelsea’s attention in the coming years.
In addition, the Blues also have talented young players on loan such as Kendry Paez and Mamadou Sarr.
Chelsea continue to stock up on elite young talent
Chelsea’s current owners have done a great job recruiting, bringing in some of the best young players in world football.
Moreira is another player who could fit well at Stamford Bridge as Enzo Maresca continues to progress this promising side.
It will also be interesting to see who Chelsea signs next and whether some of those players get a chance to do well in Strasbourg like Moreira.
