According to multiple sources, Bayern Munich has reached an agreement with Liverpool on the proposed transfer of Louis Diaz. The Bundesliga champion is expected to pay a Premier League counterpart up to 75 million euros for the services of the 28-year-old Colombian winger.
Bayern has now joined Galatasaray in Galatasaray and moved to identify the right alternative to the left attacking flank, with Dias constantly being the top target in that regard. Diaz’s camp, who is said to be frustrated by Liverpool’s hesitation to improve his personal conditions at Anfield, is exploring the possibility of departure this summer, and Bayern’s proposal has clearly come at the right time. There have been two attempts to agree to a new contract in order to remain at Anfield, but the gap between the player’s request and the club’s offer proved impossible to bridge.
As Newcastle star Alexander Isaac and Real Madrid’s Rodrigo are frequently linked, it remains to be seen what the potential influx of 75 million euros means for Liverpool’s plans for the remainder of the summer transfer period.
