According to the mirror, Bayern Munich is preparing for a summer dive for Crystal Palace star Ebeki Eze.
Eze has linked travel to both Liverpool and Manchester United, but the palace star prefers travel to Anfield.
However, as Bundesliga Giants races to sign him after losing to Wirtz, it could potentially result in an unexpected turn for England International Eze.
The German champions have identified Bayer Leverkusen’s Wirtz as their top priority, but the £126 million playmaker appears ready to join Liverpool.
Florian Wirtz is approaching Liverpool’s move
Wirtz personally informed Bayern that he would like to take on new challenges overseas, particularly at the Merseyside Club.
As a result, Bayern has changed focus and is now looking at 26-year-old Eze as a potential alternative to bolstering midfield options while attacking.
Crystal Palace’s Talisman reportedly has a release clause set at £60 million, with performance-based add-ons of £8 million.
AIDS stocks are even higher after Crystal Palace helped defeat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the finals to win this coast.
Bayern’s relationship with the palace is believed to be in good condition, following a successful deal last summer with Winger Michael Ollies, which happens to be Ez’s best friend.
Eze can shine in Bayern Munich
Since arriving from QPR in 2020, Eze has become the basis for the palace’s offensive, earning 165 appearances and 39 goals.
Bayern is also monitoring Brighton’s Kaorumitoma and AC Milan’s Rafael Leon as they continue to explore multiple options to refresh their teams before the 2025/26 season.
Liverpool had their eyes on Eze, but now they’re closer to signing Wirtz, so their attacking midfield positions have been sorted for a long time.
At Bayern under Vincent Company, Eze can make his game shine and develop further by playing with the best players.
Just as Olise has taken it to the next level, Eze could experience a similar rise.
