Abhishek Nayar, Arun Kanade, Soham Desai, T Dilip and others have been let go of the Trustees for Indian Cricket. However, they made a U-turn and were forced to return Tilip as fielding coach. Soham Desai also refused to extend his contract.
According to the report, BCCI has parted ways with longtime team masher Rajeev Kumar. He shared a great relationship with most team members, especially Pacer.
He served as an Indian team massager for nearly 15 years, but now he has been removed and a new masseuse was brought in with team management recommendations.
“The Indian Board of Directors has decided to discontinue the services of Rajeev. The Indian team had appointed masseuses, which had previously been recommended for team management,” said a board source cited by the Indian Express.
The Indian squad of the Asian Cup has been announced and Shreyaiyer has been snuggled
The Indian team for the Asian Cup 2025, which will take place from September 9th to 28th, was announced a few days ago by BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar.
The biggest surprise coming out of the squad’s announcement was the unselection of star batsman Schreyas Iyer, who is at the peak of his strength.
He is India’s leading rungeter, with 243 runs averaged 48.6, Champion Trophy 2025, the best runner for the Punjab Kings in 2025, with an offensive rate of 604 runs with an average of 50.33 and 175.07.
India is spoiled for choice – Farvez Maharoof
Speaking about the team, former Sri Lankan player Falves Mahaloff said that it was nothing wrong with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreiyas Ayer being snabbed, adding that India is spoiled by just choice.
“India is spoiled by choice. (AJIT) Agarkar (Chair of Selectors) is too easy. These two guys are not wrong. One (Jaiswal) takes on the bowler from the ball 1, and the other is the leader of the Indian manufacturer.
“When you enter the Asian Cup, India is a favorite and they look at the side they choose and they cover all the bases,” he said.
“Hardik Pandya was the winner of the match at the time. I’ve seen it at the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the Asian Cup in Sri Lanka (2023).
