All of Gautam Gambhir’s journey as head coach of the National Cricket Team in India is expected to be completed for a year on July 9th, but the honeymoon phase appears to be long.

It was hoped that after replacing Rahul Dravid following the India’s victory ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign, Gautam Gambhir was particularly renewed, with Gautam Gambhir leading the Kolkata Knight Riders to the IPL 2024 title.

Under Gambia’s leadership, India played 11 Test matches, only three wins. This only won one on the struggling Bangladeshi side and Australia in Perth.

Now in a very important five-match Test series against England, India has already been down 1-0 after a disappointing five-wicket defeat in the first Test at Headingley, with Gambil under heavy pressure to deliver in the red-ball format of the game.

Despite the overwhelming numbers, Gambil is not facing an immediate threat. The Indian head coach is said to have received full support from selectors and BCCI to manage the test team during this transitional phase.

Sources noted that both Australia and the UK faced a tough patch during this difficult time, and they called for patience during this difficult time.

A BCCI official said Insidesport: “At this point, Gambhir is doing a good job with a younger team. In transitions, you don’t always get the intended results. Australia and England struggled during the transition.

“So it’s too early to call Gambil. We still have four Test matches in the UK. We hope we can turn things around. Beyond that, we’ll see.

Gautam Gambir digs Kapil Sharma in his show

Meanwhile, the latest promotion of the great Indian Kapil Show season 3 is doing rounds on social media. Future episodes will be a fun cricket special featuring Gautam Gambhir alongside Rishabh Pant, Abhishek Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Host Kapil Sharma promises plenty of laughs as he welcomes the cricketer on his couch. In the promotion, Kapil jokingly asks about his mood in an Indian dressing room, saying, “How about the dressing room scene? Is Gautam Bai serious to you all?”

Rishabh Pant laughs, “When there are ups and downs in the match, we’re all nervous. There’s nothing in it.” But Gambil fights back with a hilarious response: “How do you react when your show doesn’t work?”

Kapil from the mockup set replied, “Saari Baatein Mere Pe Daalni Hai?” Gambil was then opened up about his intense persona on the field. He said, “People often say I fight on the field. But who am I fighting for? It’s not for myself.
