According to Ben Jacobs, RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco wants to join Manchester United despite an offer from Newcastle United. The journalist claims that Sesco spoke to both men and Newcastle about his desire to move to Old Trafford.
While Newcastle’s bid for Sesco has been accepted by Leipzig, Man UTD is currently “moving forward by reaching an agreement” with the Bundesliga club for the 22-year-old Slovenian international striker.
Jacobs said x: “Manchester United have made progress in reaching an agreement with Leipzig to sign Benjamin Sesco.
“As reported last night, Sesko has notified both clubs that want Manchester United.
“#murnc Players never planned a bid without purchasing. However, late last night, Sesko made it even more clear that he wanted to move to Old Trafford.
“Newcastle’s bid of over 80 million euros has been accepted by Leipzig, but Sesco is waiting for Manchester United.
“Newcastle has other targets like Yoane Wissa, Nicolas Jackson, Ollie Watkins and Lois Openda.”
