Benoit Saint-Denis absolutely raided Short Notis’ replacement opponent, Kyle Prepolec, at the opening of the UFC 315 main card on Saturday night.
Sandenis ran out of time to put Priforek down on the mat. After spending the next few minutes establishing top control, Sandenis finally began punishing his opponent with a solid ground strike, nearly tightening it with a choke in the back.
To his credit, Priforek maintained the storm, survived the storm, and returned to his stool and returned to round two.
The Priforek came out and immediately connected to a lovely right hand that placed the mouse under San Dennis’ right eye. As San Dennis returned and tried to answer, he suffered to plunge into the eyes that brought the fight to a short halt. As he moved forward, Priforek once again recorded Sandenis with his painful right hand, the “God of War.”
San Dennis closed off towards the fence and unleashed a nasty elbow inside, but the Preplek was more than a game, fighting back against the fence. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to keep San Dennis from illuminating him with the trio’s elbows before he lowered the Canadian onto the mat and brought him straight to the triangular chalk on his arm.
Without going outside, Prepolec had no choice but to tap.
Official Results:Benoit Saint-denis def. Kyle Prepleck via submission (Arm Triangle Chalk) at 2:35 in Round 2.
