Arsenal was urged by journalist and gunner expert Charles Watts to seal the Crystal Palace transfer, which attacks midfielder Ebeki Eze.
I write in his latest exclusive column Catch off sideWatts explained that he hopes Arsenal is exploring the option to sign Eze this summer.
Eze was a standout performer at Palace, who won the FA Cup semi-finals at Aston Villa at Wembley over the weekend.
Ebeki Eze looks like the perfect signature for Arsenal
Arsenal is likely linked to many offensive players in a few weeks or months, but Watts has picked Eze as the player he wants to see them move to Emirates Stadium.
“Arsenal will be linked with some wingers in front of the summer window,” Watts wrote.
He added:
“He could play wide or more centrally and provide more creative sparks in those areas. He loves shots from afar.
“Last week we saw Eze destroy Aston Villa in the FA Cup semi-finals and we could imagine him doing the same thing with an Arsenal shirt.
“I really hope that’s what Arsenal is looking at when the windows open.”
Can the palace protect Ebeki Eze and other stars?
Eze could be one of several names in demand, which could be a difficult summer for the palace.
England International is someone who appears to be destined to go to a higher level, but the same applies to others such as Adam Wharton, Marcguech and Jamphilippe Mateta.
It is still unclear which of these players will be the most targeted, but it is clear that Eze is a popular option for Arsenal.
