Liverpool reportedly submitted a transfer package worth a total of £40 million to Crystal Palace for England International Centre Backmark Guech.
The Reds seem to be very close to the evaluation of Guech’s palace, which is in the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park.
According to football insiders, they did this by offering the first £36 million and £4 million add-ons.
Guehi has been one of the top defensive players in the Premier League recently, and he looks ideal for Liverpool’s needs right now.
With Conate in the final year of his contract at Anfield, it would be wise for the LFC to move for exchange now.
Mark Guehi replacing Liverpool’s Ibrahima Conate?
Losing Konate is a blow, but it’s a simple blow for a high-quality player like Guehi to come in his place.
The Daily Mirror said Joel Ordonez had lined up for the Eagles as an alternative, as he had previously linked to Liverpool, 25.
Meanwhile, Conate’s future is questionable as Real Madrid shows interest in him, and there seem to be very few indications of him agreeing to sign a new contract with the Premier League champions.
Liverpool is working on late trading
In addition to Guehi’s contract, Liverpool is also following an ambitious slow move for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isaac.
Indikaira reports Catch off side Liverpool’s UK record transfer bid allowed him to move St. James’ park to Anfield for a fee of £130 million.
If Liverpool could bring both Isaac and Gaech along with previous signatures of Hugo Ekicchike, Florian Wiltz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremy Fripon, this would go down as a transfer window to remember the Merseyside giants.
