The incredible NBA regular season is coming to an end, and many exciting playoff matchups await.
With Damien Lillard being ruled out, pressure is put on Giannis Antetocomo to do it all for the Milwaukee Bucks. And incredibly, the superstars are embracing the challenge.
Milwaukee has finished the season for eight consecutive times. This averaged 31.8 points per game in April, along with the NBA’s most inform team and the Clippers. This was a slight increase in his stunning season average per game of 30.8 points.
And while he cannot advance in the two-man MVP race between Shy Gilgauss Alexander and Nikola Zhokic, Giannis deserves respect as a clear third option.
Boston Celtics’ Van Bill Simmons admits that he can’t justify his belief that Jason Tatum had a better season than Giannis Antetocomo.
Simmons told his latest podcast that 2021 NBA champion Giannis is putting together a historic stretch that lined him up as one of the league’s elite players.
He explained: “Like Giannis, the last four weeks have to be third. He just needs to be and I’ve spoken about it millions of times. I think he’s great. I think he’s great as two guys.
“But I think Giannis has to be the third thing he’s done in the last four weeks.
“And if you’re putting him in third place, this will be seven straight first team All-NBAs, and over those seven years he averaged 30, 12, 6.
“So this is something like LeBron level consistency.”
Simmons argues that Giannis’ numbers will rise up for years to come, full of respect for what the Milwaukee Bucks star has achieved.
He said: “It’s like you saw the season of Carl Malone, oh my god, he put 29 and 10 for 12 years. Well, this will be a seven.”
Ahead of the playoffs, Giannis Antetokounmpo can be proud of his incredible regular season performance.
He won the NBA Cup along the way, playing in 67 games, averaging 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game.
The numbers are very similar to last season in terms of points and assists, with his rebound increasing from 11.5 to 11.9.
In the standout game, he has 20 assists in his recent victory with the Sixers. Amazing number.
The Bucks are currently preparing for a playoff series with the Indiana Pacers. This is a series that promises you can’t escape.
