Luka Doncic’s experience rivals two NBA greats, Bill Simmons claims after seeing him live for the LA Lakers for the first time.
It’s been six weeks since Luka Doncic was traded by La Lakers and although I still feel it’s not normal, it probably never happens.
Donsic was thrown off the course from his own play to stay with the Dallas Mavericks for the remainder of his career and was traded unexpectedly before the deadline.
The superstar held a show where the Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets, earning 21 points in the first quarter and a total of 31 points.
NBA analyst Bill Simmons attended the Crypto.com Arena, where Don Sic led the Lakers to victory, where Luka Don Sic saw him in person for the first time at La Lakers.
Speaking about his podcast, he spoke about his experiences and compared topics around the arena to the impact Kobe Bryant had on his fans.
He explained: “That’s not true. And I’m not saying it was a bad thing before, but energy reminded me of something like when I went to that Kobe game.
“It’s the same thing, you either have it or not, and he has it.
He described the Lakers vibe as something Don Sic could believe could happen on a night when something grandeur was given, and used two words, “no ceiling,” to compare the sense of superstars imposing, to the Warriors Peak Steph Curry.
Simmons explained:
“There’s an incredible performance aspect for Kobe, and LeBron is excellent, but there was an attitude towards him in these games, especially since Kobe, especially because he really bought it. That was great.”
“There’s a game where I go with Luka, “no ceiling,” which I think is rare.
“And that’s what I think has made curry very special over the last decade. Is it like I’m in the game now when curry hits 15 threes? Am I in the game now?
Luka Doncic has already stacked one 70-point game in his Dallas Mavericks career, scoring 73 points against the Hawks in January 2024.
It seems unthinkable that 13 months of Mavs have spoken to him to trade superstars.
Doncic also played a 60-point match in 2022, hitting 50 or more points on five separate occasions, and already has a 45-point show for the Lakers.
It was part of what he had such a compelling viewing in Dallas, prompting a pour in agitated when they swapped him.
These numbers are even greater than the biggest curry score that occurred when he reached 62 in 2021. But at Simmons’ point, something epic can happen when he’s in court. He recently scored 56 points against magic, the fourth-highest score of his career.
Donsic has returned “Show” to Los Angeles. As Simmons points out, he has new heights for scaling, and the lucky fans present have the opportunity to see each night.
