There’s some good news and so much good news about Los Angeles ‘ Reliever Blake Trainen and the current arm injury he’s nursing.
Let’s start with the first positive. Trainen recently had an MRI to determine the severity of the forearm injury that had been bothering him. The results showed that there was no structural damage and lead to the diagnosis of low-grade sprain.

Generally speaking, some estimates have pitchers who will potentially return from such an injury in six weeks. As for something less good, there is ambiguity surrounding Trainen’s injuries. The team doesn’t put a timetable for a potential return to Diamond, as they don’t know when he’ll return.
Trainen, who turned 37 in June, is clearly someone his team wants to stretch during postseason runs. Even if it is estimated in terms of time, this team may work with special care to bring him back early.
Trainen was not used during the three-game sweep at home compared to the Rockies. He warmed up on Friday and probably took part in the first game of a three-game set with the Rangers. However, the tension reached the point where Trainen didn’t feel comfortable taking part in the contest.
The issue reportedly began at home on April 13th, compared to the Cubs. He gave up a home run on Pete Crow Armstrong during that outing (but hit the side for the right scale).
Manager Dave Roberts said he was “thank you for letting us know about his discomfort.” He also had to say the following before the MRI diagnosis:
“I’m not too worried, considering he was still trying to pitch yesterday. But I think we’ll just book the judgement until we get more from the scan. But for now, the level of concern isn’t too high.”
