Blendson Ribeiro scored his second consecutive victory within the Octagon, submitting DWCS alum Diyar Nurgozhay in the second round of the main card crash at UFC Vegas 104 on Saturday night.
The biggest moment in the opening round came when Ribeiro caught Nurgozhay neatly and unleashed a one-on-two that he sent to the canvas. However, Kazakh recovered and was able to quickly return to his feet.
After absorbing gusts of wind from Ribeiro at the round 1 closure, Nurgozhay quickly brought his things to the mat in the second stanza. During the exchange, Ribeiro grabs Nurgozhay’s arm and locks him up in Kimura, trying to improve his position.
As Nurgozhay rolled over to try to relieve the pressure, Ribeiro had it tightened even more and forced Nurgozhay to tap out.
