One of the rising stars of the Denver Nuggets isn’t cheap to re-sign after his current deal expires.

The Denver Nuggets engaged in a great battle with the OKC Thunder in the Western Conference semi-finals.

However, after the 7-game series, the Nuggets were sent home. The Nuggets were charged for a 125-93 loss in Game 7, so there was no answer to Thunder.

The Nuggets’ journey was shorter, but they found some new stars along the way. One of them is nothing more than Christian Brown.

Brown concluded his third season with Denver, but with each campaign he only got better.

Brown is currently trading $13.7 million over four years, but will become a restricted free agent in the summer of 2026.

NBA expert Bobby Marks recently reported that if Nuggets intends to regain Brown it would cost at least $30 million a year.

“Expansion candidates to watch: Christian Brown, certainly. He helped himself. You turn off the box and he should get paid. What is it that will be paid? Jalen Suggs was five for $150 million,” Marks said.

“I think he’s more expensive based on where the cap is heading. … Christian Brown gets paid, he’s a great player.

Brown not only found a role in the Nugget, but he’s also good at it. Given the fact that he is away from his career years, it’s no surprise that Marks expects him to earn such a big salary.

Since being drafted by the NBA, Brown has shown great durability. He has just finished his third season, playing at least 76 games.

Additionally, Brown moved to the starter as he scored 77 starts in 79 appearances in the 2024-25 NBA season.

In these matches, Brown averaged 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

Heading into the postseason, Brown contributed the team’s 12.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. Certainly, he had a slight drop in his points and assists, but these are still career-high playoff numbers for the younger security guard.
