Boston Celtics standout Niemier Squaetta set a big goal with Portugal heading for the Eurobasket tournament.
As the Boston Celtics head into a turbulent season, they are more dependent on their fringe players than ever before.
As Jason Tatum’s brutal Achilles injury put a damper on the plan, the Celtics spit out their roster and shipped out several high-income players to reduce the massive wage bill.
One star set to get more opportunities next season is Portuguese big man Nimias Keta. The keta is one of the normal functions of the Celtics in the center position.
Brown has praised digits for his past performances, but the young star has in mind a new goal heading towards Portugal and Eurobasket.
Neemias Queta recently spoke in an interview about his goals for the Portuguese national team to head to the Eurobasket tournament.
He didn’t play a major role for the Celtics, but Keta wants to contribute to both ends of the court and help Portugal move on to the knockout stage of the tournament.
“I think not playing that much time there (in Boston) or playing more here makes a difference.
“I have to attack the game the same way, and I’m off even using the field with the same mindset that I want my defender to suffer and to be able to do more.
“The goal is to always not come here to (qualify), relax or waste time. When I came here, it’s to compete and try to achieve my goals. It’s always been one of our goals from the start, as I was here.”
If Neemias Queta has a strong Eurobasket tournament with Portugal, it could portray the foreshadowing for his upcoming NBA season with the Boston Celtics.
Joe Mazzulla definitely sees how Queta plays with Portugal. If he can demonstrate the quality of their leadership with them, then expect him to get more time with his team.
The upcoming NBA season is something that the Boston Celtics don’t expect to compete for the NBA championship.
By providing more opportunities to develop digits, you can develop another solid homemade player for when the Celtics return to their competition.
