The Boston Celtics have issued a statement regarding the injuries sustained by Jason Tatum.
Jason Tatum was injured late in the fourth quarter of the Boston Celtics Eastern Conference semi-final against the New York Knicks.
Tatum has to be saved from the court, and the Knicks are on the way to win the game, with the least of the Celtics’ concerns.
Fans quickly feared that Tatum had suffered a catastrophic injury to Achilles, and now the team has confirmed the news.
The Boston Celtics issued a statement regarding Jason Tatum, confirming that he had already undergone surgery.
The statement reads: “Today, Jason Tatum has had a successful surgery to repair his ruptured right Achilles tendon.
“Currently, he does not have a return schedule, but he is expected to recover in full. Further updates will be provided if necessary.”
Posting on X, ESPN insider Shamscharania described the injury as “devastating.”
