Manchester United is expected to be one of the busiest Premier League teams in the summer transfer period.

The Red Devils struggled to perform in the Premier League and are currently 14th in the league.

It was a disastrous season for them in terms of performance and all the club standards.

Gary Neville was extremely critical of them after his latest defeat to Newcastle United.

Alan Shearer joined in the conversation and called on the Red Devils to make three major signatures over the summer.

Transfer News expert Fabrizio Romano has issued the latest update on United with two players set to leave the club.

According to Italian journalists, goalkeeper Tom Heaton and defender Johnny Evans are set to leave Man United at the end of the season.

He wrote in X:

“Tom Heaton and Johnny Evans are both scheduled to leave Manchester United at the end of the season.

It’s no surprise to see the Red Devils allow both players to leave the club.

Since the club decided to invest in new goalkeepers and new defenders this summer, it will be difficult to compete in the starting lineup location.

Heaton, 39, and Evans, 37, are both at the end of their careers, and United look forward to cutting wage bills by offloading players who no longer have a future at the club.

The Premier League giants have decided to invest in young talent this summer. Neither of the above players are consistent with the club’s philosophy.
