Brandin Podziemski was one of the Golden State Warriors breakout stars this season. Many headlines focused on Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler, but Potts had a quiet and wonderful year.
In fact, he averaged 11.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists as a rotation player, making him one of the most reliable names on the roster.
Podziemski’s playoff performance was a huge disappointment for Steve Kerr. But in the end, Poziemski was playing after an injury in the postseason and underwent surgery after removal.
With this season behind him, Potts looks at his future in the short term and long term.

Brandin Podziemski was a guest on the Kay Adams show. He spoke about his future ambitions in the NBA.
His first mention was NBA All-Star, representing Team USA at the Olympics and winning the championship. However, Podz added that he doesn’t need to be with Stephen Curry or Warriors.
“Obviously, I want to be an All-Star as soon as possible, but is that Stef and they’re here or they’re done?”
“I want to do that. I want to be an Olympic athlete in 2028 – something I can definitely see.
“And I just want to be a common name where it becomes me and other people can win the championship. That’s ideal for me.”

The Golden State Warriors sought to build the Warriors through the 2020s 2timeline approach. After Kevin Durant’s departure and Clay Thompson’s successive injuries, they had to change their strategy.
But their draft choices were not great. James Wiseman was bust, Jonathan Cuminga didn’t impress Steve Kerr, and Moses Moody settled in the role of the bench.
The Warriors won the NBA Championship, but recruiting young players has not been successful. But Podziemski might be an exception to that rule.
If the Warriors are looking at their long-term future, Posiemsky may be one of the few works they need to hold.
