Jack Della Madalena Vs. Islam Makhachev is official!
After making avid fans wait 10 hours, Dana White announced via Instagram on Saturday, November 15th that “JDM” will place his middleweight world championship with the former lightweight king of UFC 322.
Dela Madalena, the 170-pound crown defender, will be the first to defend her since she wrestled away from Beral Muhammad in May.
Literally, hours after the belt was wrapped around Australia’s waist, Makachev revealed that he would move up his lightweight class and vacate his lightweight title to challenge “JDM” for the new gold.
But the whites were not done there.

It will be Shevchenko’s second defence since regaining the crown through a dominant five-round performance against Alexa Grasso at UFC 306.
With “Magnum” abandoning the strawweight title, White confirmed that the new champion will be crowned at UFC 321 on October 25th at UFC 321 when Virna Jandiroba, a top-ranked contender in the division, faces BJJ Sensation Mackenzie Dern.
