The Professional Fighters League has announced the launch of PFL Africa, the third international league, with its debut event scheduled for at Grand West Arina in Cape Town, South Africa on July 26, 2025.

The event will mark the beginning of the 2025 PFL Africa Tournament with a first round matchup in the heavyweight and bantamweight divisions. Eight brackets will appear in each division, with the fighters moving forward into the semi-finals and finals.
PFL Africa will be led by former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, in partnership with Helios Sports & Entertainment Group as a capital partner. Elias Schulze has been appointed general manager to oversee the launch and operation of the league.
The first tournament will feature 24 fighters from 14 African countries, with the full schedule and host cities being announced soon.
The launch event will feature a battle for the middleweight world title between Johnny Eblen and Costello Van Stinis, as well as a joint main event featuring five PFL champion series to the Road to Dubai and Dakota Ditcheva vs. Unko Inaba.
First round match in heavyweight: Jasher Ticha Awa (3-1) vs Justin Clark (2-0)
Bantamweight First Round Bout: nkosi ndebele (8-3) vs. Mahmoud Atef (5-2)
First round match of heavyweight: Abdullah Kane (3-0) vs. Mohammad Ben Yahia (9-4)
Bantamweight First Round Bout: Simbarashe Hokonya (5-0) vs. Abderrahman errachidy (4-1)
Middleweight World Title Main Event: Johnny Eblen (16-0) vs. Costello Van Stinis (16-3)
Women’s Flyweight Joint Main Event: Dakota Diccheva (14-0) vs. Mushikoi Nava (8-1)
PFL Africa has secured a broadcast partnership with Canal+ for French coverage and SuperSport for wider distribution across the continent. The mobile-first platform will also be available in collaboration with CFM, making PFL Africa accessible to over 90% of Africahourfy.
The league is designed to provide platforms for African fighters and expand the reach of MMAs across the continent, following PFL models for regular season, playoffs and championships.
