Left-hander Jose Quintana was expected to pitch the majority of innings in Thursday’s Game 3, but now hard-throwing right-hander Jacob Misiorowski will fill that role, with Quintana likely to pitch in Game 4.
The lineup, with Max Muncy batting No. 7, looked prepared to face the left-handed pitcher. But Misilovskiy, who dominated for the earlier this season, will likely follow in the footsteps of left-handed opener Aaron Ashby.

As for Quintana, it looks like he’ll be pitching the majority of Friday’s game. He spoke on Wednesday’s off day and said he plans to pitch in Game 3 on Thursday.
“Well, I think I’ll be pitching tomorrow. I don’t know what my role will be,” Quintana said Wednesday. “But the last two games, I’ve just been preparing for whatever role the team needs me to play. Yeah, we’ll see tomorrow what my role is.”
“The team hasn’t decided what will happen yet, but I want to be ready.”
