The New York Knicks star receives a comparison of Stephen Curry from Brian S Calabrin during the 2025 postseason run.

After beating the Boston Celtics in the second round, the New York Knicks finally finished their 25th conference final drought.

The Knicks are currently facing a 1-0 deficit in the ECF following a 3-point Game 1 loss, but many are hoping that their team will make a comeback.

The big reason behind that trust is the presence of stars on the roster like the towns of Jalen Branson and Karl Anthony.

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is undoubtedly the best shooter of all time. Plus, curry has a big impact on the Warriors.

This was seen because Dub couldn’t win one game after Curry collapsed in hamstring tension in Game 1 of the second round against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Former Boston Celtic Brian Scalabrin compared Branson’s presence in the court to the presence of STEPH via WEEI 93.7 FM.

“They’re championship meters and they don’t look like that, but they’re very similar to Steph Curry. I coached at Steph. I was around Branson. They have a lot of similarities to their way of thinking.

“The guy is 6 feet 1,” he is incredible,” Scarablin said.

So far, Branson has averaged 29.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 7.5 assists in the 2025 NBA playoffs.

When players like Curry and Branson are on the court, there is a rather underrated passive effect on the rest of the team.

Scalabrine spoke about it as he pointed out some of the key players who played a major role in his NBA career.

“Like I would admit it first, I am nothing as a player unless I am with a really good player.

“I had the opportunity to play with Jason Kidd early on, and Rondo, Pierce, Garnett and Allen allowed me to be a better NBA player than I actually am,” Scarablin added.

In that memo, Scalabrine believes that Branson’s presence in the courtroom will only play a major role in how the Knicks play on a particular night.

“I think Branson has that gravity over him.
