The San Antonio Spurs are one of the most exciting teams entering the new season.
Victor Wenbanyama will be in his third year as expectations for him continue to grow.
Wenbanyama got a co-star when the Spurs traded with Dearon Fox at the trading deadline last season.
Now it appears that the Spurs can make a big step forward in the West this season and have a roster good enough to possibly even push the playoff spot.
The spur is packed with young talent.
Not only do they have one of the best players in Wenbanyama games, they also have a pair of young security guards with endless possibilities.
The Spurs have Steffon Castle, who won the Rookie of the Year last season, and has the second pick for the 2025 NBA Draft Dylan Harper.
Harper is a Rutgers star and he has the kind of skill set that will make him an All-Star in the League one day.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst spoke about the Spurs situation on the Instagram thread. He said the Spurs are a playoff contender, but he questioned the team playing young security guards for minutes, like Harper.
“They are definitely playoff contenders.
“But if you play a young guard for minutes, you’re paying the learning curve price.
“In the league, there’s been a lot of excitement about Harper.”

Although Castle and Harper are younger, Fox is a veteran veteran and already shows that he can lead his team into the playoffs.
The Spurs, who have traded with Fox and then signed him on the extension, were a key move as they gave them an experienced player to rely on their team.
Not only can Fox help this team win at a high level, he can also serve as a mentor to Castle and Harper, preparing for a potential playoff push.
Castle has already come along well, and it’s only a matter of time before Harper shows that the spotlight isn’t too bright for him.
