The Dallas Mavericks are behind the scenes’ press conferences are being pulled away.
For more than two months, the Dallas Mavericks have torn everyone apart due to their decision to trade Lukadon Sic. Few people argue that this is not the case.
Doncic Trade is a hot topic of conversation with the LA Lakers’ sparkling superstars, stunning players and fellow executives within the league.
Don Sic’s return to Dallas and a 45-point show with the Lakers prompted more ock laughs for the Mavericks.
But at least it’s over, and certainly a period of rest arrives?
Afterwards, a press briefing was arranged prior to the play-in tournament and was reported to be an explicit request from Patrick Dumont.
The Dallas Mavericks press conference was not a regular press conference. Only selected reporters were invited, and both camera and audio devices were banned.
During a briefing reported via ESPN.com, general manager Nico Harrison doubled Luka Donchik’s trade decision, claiming “I have no regrets,” which was the main headline that emerged.
Harrison also claims he has no plans to resign, believing his confidence in the Mavericks will ultimately improve.
NBA insider Brian Windhorst spoke through the first take and provided the theory behind the handling of the press conference.
He speculated that Nico Harrison didn’t want to be filmed, claiming he had no regrets, and created a viral clip that could be used against him for years to come.
Windhorst said:
“I don’t know that, but I guess that.”
He went on to argue that the usual “terrifying” situation of Kyrie Irving’s ACL injury causes sympathy for the franchise, but this isn’t close at all.
Dallas Maverick has PR issues and if this press conference was an attempt to reset the story, it didn’t work.
Former Mavs owner Mark Cuban was forced to strongly reject comments from Nico Harrison, who apparently had the importance of Dirk Nowitzki being dismissed.
And all of this before the Mavericks’ NBA Play-in Tournament Game and the Sacramento Kings.
Luka Doncic Trade once again dominated the topic with his first take, get-up and show morning slate. And this could have been avoided if Mavs simply hadn’t held any press conferences at all.
