Brighton & Hove Albion is paying attention to the “world-class” goalkeeper’s moves that will replace Bart Verbruggen this summer.
Verbruggen is attracting interest after an impressive performance
Brighton enjoyed another solid campaign in the Premier League, with a top half finish increasingly likely and the goalkeeper caught his eye with an impressive performance.
Most recently, Verbruggen held a clean sheet in the Seagulls’ 2-0 victory with the Wolverhampton Wanderers, making two saves out of the box, keeping old gold at bay.
The Dutch International has also posted several top displays on his national side, making some impressive saves in a UEFA Nations League clash on his side in March.
So it’s no wonder Dutch are beginning to attract attention from some of Europe’s top clubs. Reports from the Sun reveal that Real Madrid is paying attention to the shocking deals of shotstoppers this summer.
The same report details Brighton implementing rules for the top 22-year-old alternative. Liverpool’s Khaoimhinkeleher is one of the goalkeepers under consideration and has been following the Irishman for quite some time.
Reports from elsewhere reveal that the Reds are setting a £40 million asking price on Keleher, so if they decide to pursue a goalkeeper move, the Seagulls should be willing to spend a lot.

Things like Andre Onana and Robert Sanchez have had a tinsel season, but where do they rank in Premier League counterparts?
“World Class” Kelleher could be the ideal Verbruggen alternative
Of course, Fabian Hazeler wants to keep Verbruggen beyond the end of the campaign, but if Real Madrid calls, it will be difficult to hold the goalkeeper service, and Liverpool’s shotstopper could be the ideal alternative.
While Allison maintains Arneslot’s first choice option between the sticks, the Irish certainly played a role in the Reds’ Premier League title victory, appearing ten times while the Brazilian was on the sidelines for injuries.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old received extremely high praise from Andy Robertson, who described his teammate as “world-class.”
Not only that, Ireland’s international has been highly ranked among several important goalkeeping metrics over the past year.

While Kelleher, who proved himself in the Premier League with the champion, could be a great alternative to Verbruggen this summer, Hurzeler hopes Madrid will cool interest in goalkeeping.
