British and Irish Lions coach Andy Farrell was pleased with how his team had settled down after admitting two early tries before beating Queensland Reds 52-12 in Brisbane on Wednesday.
Tourists broke the line in the first quarter against Perth’s Western Army on Saturday before dominating the contest and scoring up the score.
“It’s impressive again with the patch,” Farrell said. “After settling down, we played some lovely rugby. The Reds started pretty well in the first 10 minutes and there were some errors from each other.

“But, I thought we were wonderfully constructed, despite what was a bit of a stop for us as far as continuity is concerned.
If you connect players from four countries in a short time and have problems with restarting, you can expect difficulties if you handle the error and some scrum penalties, and don’t please Farrell.
Scrum half Jamison Gibson Park has returned from lute humiliation, which eliminated him from losses to Argentina and victory over the Western army, but worked well with Finn Russell and Test half combination and what is expected.
Once they settled, the Lions looked impressive in offensive and defense, embracing the opposition seven after halftime in their second match.
“We weren’t happy with the start of the game,” Farrell said.
“I think we got a little better in the second half, and I think the quality of the bench and the example of the bench set up in the other two games was a draw at the top.
“Competition over location, that’s what we want, right? And everyone has to go straight to the last whi.”
The Lions have concerns about Elliot Daly, who lost Scrum half-To Moss Williams for the rest of the tour due to a hamstring injury.
The experienced England outside the back was one of the great performers in the first three matches of his fourth Lions Tour, scoring two tries against the Force.
